Holden Armstrong #21

 Holden is a versatile player capable of playing anywhere on the field as well as pitching. He was team MVP last season and looks to build on a very strong season.

Off the field he enjoys editing and creating media. He is  looking to go into some sort of sports marketing or management as he has a lot of experience in that field.

Holden is committed to Franciscan University, where he will continue his baseball career as he pursues his degree.

Jake Batton #3

  

Jake "The Hammer" Batton is a returning member of the Monarchs. He's played baseball since he was four years old in rec league and has been a Monarch since 7th grade.

When not playing baseball, Jake enjoys gaming, computer programming, reading, and spending time with his family. After graduation, he plans on attending college and obtaining a degree in Computer Science, where he hopes to pursue a career in Cyber Security.

Jake Herron #28

 Jake is returning to catch this season and is
looking to end his high school career on a high
note with a standout season. He is weighing his
future options between continuing his baseball
career in college or continuing to grow his
home improvement business.

In his free time, Jake enjoys working on his
truck, wakeboarding, and spending time with
his family and friends.


Elliott Palmer #15

 Elliott is returning to the Monarchs after 2 years away. He will be competing for a spot in the infield.

In his free time, away from baseball, he enjoys playing basketball, football, and going to the gym.

Regarding his future, Elliott is currently deciding between the schools he has been accepted to and hoping that one of them will include continuing his baseball career. After graduation, if baseball is not in God's plan for him, Elliott would love to be a coach of any sort just to keep baseball in his daily life.

John Sullivan #10

 John is a standout pitcher for the Monarchs. He struck out 19 in a 7 inning game in Louisville last season and looks to build on that success this year.

When he isn't on the field John enjoys fishing, sports card collecting, playing basketball with friends, and working as a Little League umpire. John plans to pursue a career in sports management.

Graham Widener #44

 Graham is our returning pitcher of the year award winner from 2022. He has been playing baseball since he was eight and has been on the Monarchs for 5 years. 

When he isn't on the field Graham enjoys playing violin, being part of an orchestra, and computer programming. He plans to attend college and study computer science and music.

Grant Widener #12

 Grant is returning to cover ground in our outfield after a strong 2022 season.

He has played baseball for more than 10 years, and the last 5 years have been with the Monarchs.

Other hobbies he enjoys are playing the violin, programming and orchestra.

Grant plans to pursue music in college next year.

Shane Winkler #27

 Another returning outfielder, Shane is excited about the upcoming 2023 season.

Sports have always been a big part of Shane's life. He has played baseball since he was 5. He started with rec league for several years then, at age 14, he was blessed to start playing with the Monarchs. It has been such a great experience and he has loved every minute of it!

Shane is thankful for the coaches and thankful for the great friendships he has made.

"I thank God for giving me the ability to play sports. God comes first and nothing is as important as Christ my Savior."

Shane plans to attend Freed-Hardeman University where he will study Bible, enjoy living life and teach others about Christ.

Colossians 1:17 And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
